Cody continues to wait, because that is pretty much the only thing that he can do at this time. He knows that if security finds him breaking into their server - it would pretty much mean prison and the end of his future.\n\nA bit of excitement returns to Cody as the screen appears to show that the downloading is almost done - \n\nSomething catches his eye off to the side, he turns to see a beam from a flashlight coming down a side hallway. He reaches down for the flash drive, pulling it out and tapping a few keys on the keyboard to make sure no one would notice what happened. He placed the flash drive back in his pocket, turning the screen off and heading back towards the row of books just as the SECURITY OFFICER [[entered the room]].
Cody is hunkered down in the back of the room, trying to keep the noise down to a minimum. He waits for a few seconds, watching the flashlight beam to see what direction Mark goes.\n\nHe leans back against a row of books and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath - and then - Cody moves quickly, knocking against the book, and making some noise.\n\nThe beam of light flashes in his direction and Cody ducks down once again to stay out of the beam.\n\n"I know you're back there you little punk. You're not getting away this time." \n\nCody moves to the end of the row, then darting down the hallway. Mark sees the shadow of Cody moving and pursues him from the other side of the row of books, eventually moving up one of the rows, causing Cody to do the same thing to keep a safe distance from being caught.\n\nIt seems that the pain in Cody's head is much greater as he winces, trying to catch his breath. He then spots the exit door and makes his way quickly for the door.\n\nIt bangs open, and Cody finds himself in a hallway. Running as fast as he can towards the staircase at the end of the hallwaway, Cody then turns around to look when Mark makes it out into the hallway also. He continues to run faster towards the staircase, but STOPS at the sight of a second flashlight beam moving up the steps. WHAT NOW?\n\nCody looks around for any other option, and spots a door and tries it - [[UNLOCKED]].
Cody rushes inside the room, which appears to be a larger storage room. He makes his way back through the junk and sees a window. He slides the window open, letting the rain and brisk cool air inside.\n\nHe leans out to see the drop in front of him from the second story window. Considering his options, Cody decides to hoist himself up on the window - the door to the room bangs open, and Cody makes his way out on to a small ledge.\n\nHe makes his way cautiously towards the other end of the building.\n\nMarks sticks his head out the window. "Don't be stupid kid, get back in here."\n\nCody continues to moves cautiously towards the other end - his foot steps out, coming back back down and slipping - he loses control and Cody falls to the ground, landing on his back with a loud THUD--\n\nCody stares back up at the ledge, his vision going blurry - the pain filling his body as a flashlight beam from the ground floor now fills his vision.\n
It appears that files are downloading on to the flash drive that Cody placed inside the hard drive but it's not moving fast enough.\n\n[[BACK ON THE SCENE]]
I dark cold night - The rain POURS down. A three story brick building stands dark except for a second floor window which is showing a light coming from inside.\n\nWe MOVE slowly towards the window and eventually we:\n\n[[GO INSIDE]]
A room containing multiple rows of books on one side, and a few tables with computers on the other side. The room is empty except for a solitary figure sitting in front of one of the computers.\n\nThis is CODY BAKER - early 20's - and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and hiding his face. His clothes appear wet from making his way through the rain.\n\nHe looks around several times to make sure no one else is in the room and would surprise him at any time. Continuing to type on the computer, Cody taps his way through what appears to be coding of some sort.\n\nCody eventually leans back, waiting for something to happen but nothing does and so he impatiently taps his fingers on the table. Again looking around to see if anyone is watching him.\n\nHe pulls out his cell phone to check his messages - NONE - and then moves his gaze back to the computer screen.\n\nAfter some angonizing minutes, the computer makes a noise and Cody reaches frantically inside of his pants pocket, grabbing a flash drive and placing it inside the computers hard drive. His attention is focused on the work in front of him and completely forgets about the nervous feeling he had a few minutes before.\n\n[[ON THE SCREEN]]
A heavy set man, with facial hair and thick dark glasses, entered the room - shining his flashlight around the area where Cody was just messing with a computer. He waits a few beats and moves the beam back towards the row of books where Cody is now hiding.\n\nThe security guard isn't moving just filling the room with his light.\n\n"Mark?" Someone shouts over the security guard's two way radio.\n\nMark appears upset from being startled by the interruption. He grabs the radio. "What?" Agitated by the voice, Mark waits for the voice to continue.\n\n"Where are you? You're suppose to be back by now."\n\n"It takes several minutes to make the rounds and plus I had to stop for ding dong." Mark turns back towards the door to leave, but a noise comes from the row of books - and Mark spins back to shine his light in that direction. "Hello?" Pretending that he wants someone to answer to give their location away.\n\n[[FOLLOW THE SECURITY GUARD]]\n\n[[FOLLOW CODY]]
"I know someone is here." Mark continues back towards the book but moves cautiously as though there might be someone waiting to jump him.\n\nHe lifts the radio up to his face. "I think I have someone in the library that shouldn't be here."\n\n"It's probably kids wanting to make out in peace."\n\nMark walks down one of the rows, listening for a noise. "There has to be someone in here."\n\n"You need me to come down and check it out?"\n\nJust then the shadow of someone moving in the back of the room STARTLES Mark. He shines the light back towards the movement, but he is not quick enough and misses it. He moves quickly back towards the end of the room, "definitely someone in the library. On pursuit now." He starts running as much as he can, following the shadow now in site which ducks up and down several rows before heading for an exit door.\n\nOutside of the library, Cody turns around to wait and see if Mark is still pursuing him - BANG - the door opens and Mark barrels out towards him. He stands there in shock for a few seconds, staring at Mark. After it sinks in that he has to move, Cody takes off down the hallway.\n\n"You're not getting away from me you might as well stop." Mark calls out almost out of breath.\n\nCody makes it to a staircase, skipping every other step as he makes his way to freedom. At the exit door, he turns to look at Mark almost wanting to see if he fell down the steps. He grins and then leaves the building - escaping into the rain.
